[Review] SWIS Latin Week

On the 6th and 8th June, the SWIS (Shen Wai International School) Community gathered together to enjoy the much anticipated Latin Culture Week!

The Latin Week introduced the whole SWIS Community to the diverse cultures and cuisines of Latin America and Latin European countries. Event participants sampled many delicious dishes from a range of Latin regions, and enjoyed watching a variety of wonderful performances, including Latin singers, dancers and even a football skills show!

Children were also able to take home some souvenirs from this great event in the form of flags and badges representing the diverse range of Latin countries.

This celebration of the Latin culture is extremely significant as it reflects the cultural diversity represented and embraced at SWIS.

SWIS would like to thank our Latin families for giving the community such an amazing experience of Latin culture!

SWIS拉丁文化节

拉丁风味菜肴+拉丁语言+舞蹈狂欢+足球+服饰走秀=SWIS拉丁文化节！在这美好的夏日，SWIS社区的拉丁家庭为大家带来了极具代表性的热辣佳肴和奔放文化。

6月6日下午，SWIS的拉丁裔家庭为我校师生带来了正宗的拉丁美食：原汁原味的巴西烤肉，酸酸辣辣的墨西哥菜肴，阿根廷牛肉沙拉，南美洲的咖啡，牛肉饼以及各色酱料。孩子们身着拉丁国家传统服装，手举各自国家的小旗帜，在SWIS喷泉广场的国家展台前热情地展示着服饰、手工艺品，为同学们介绍国家文化，让大家不出校门就能体验到了热情似火的拉丁文化。在这里，语言、肤色、国籍、年龄都不是交流的障碍，一个微笑、一个拥抱、一份递上的美食、一张合影，让遥远的拉丁文化在SWIS校园内交融。

6月8日，SWIS的拉丁文化节仍在继续。来自拉丁国家的学生们再次齐聚SWIS喷泉广场，与家长们一同盛装出场，为大家带来了动感十足的民族服饰走秀。现场还邀请了来自巴西的“足球先生”展示高超地足球技艺，他热情地邀请了SWIS的孩子共同切磋球艺。随后，火热的拉丁女郎隆重登场，为大家带来了热情奔放的弗拉明戈舞，将当天的拉丁文化节活动气氛推向高潮。

此次的拉丁文化节深受SWIS社区成员的欢迎和喜爱，大家在品味异国美食的同时了解多元文化，促进各国的青少年之间理解和尊重。在向SWIS社区展示拉丁文化的同时，也传递着一个重要的信息，即深外国际部全体师生及家长所倡导和拥抱的国际情怀。在此，深外国际部对所有为此次拉丁文化周活动付出努力及提供帮助的家庭及其他社区成员表示衷心的感谢！
